...In the vineyard heart of Champagne
The Champagne region extends for 34,000 hectares representing 3.4% of the area of French vineyards.
Divided into 319 crus (municipalities) and 5 major regions:
- La Montagne de Reims
- La Vallée de la Marne
- La Côte des Blancs
- La Côte des Bar
- Les Coteaux Sud
(Pierry, Moussy, Vinay, Saint Martin d’Ablois, Brugny, Vaudancourt, Chavot, Courcourt, Monthelon, Morangis, Moslins, Mancy et Grauves).
« The vineyards of the Champagne Lecomte Père et Fils are spread mainly in the prestigious terroir of Vinay, located in the "Coteaux Sud" of Epernay.
The "Coteaux Sud" are limestones with marl, clay and sand. The chalk is porous, so it is a true water tank to the vine, even in the driest summers.
The Champagne Lecomte Père et Fils cultivates its vineyards with reasoned and sustainable control: the minimum of chemical products is use to get the healthiest possible harvest and an excellent grape juice. »
